Adult ESL Tutor

ā€‹

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4-year college or university 

  • TEFL Certification (preferred) 

  • At least (1) year of experience teaching adults English as a Second Language 

  • Proficient with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Other Requirements: 

  • Must be a fluent English speaker 

  • Excellent command of the English language

  • Comfort and ability to teach students from all different backgrounds 

  • Must have a strong and stable internet connection of at least 5MB/s 

  • Must have your own reliable transportation and be willing to travel up to 25% 

 

Job Description: 

  • Use professional judgment, latitude, and creativity to best meet the needs of students 

  • Use lesson plans based on the student's textbook to provide assistance 

  • Ability to maintain a comfortable online learning environment that is appropriate for students
